The Indies Explorer is one of the biggest surf charter boats operating in the Mentawai, ensuring you wont feel cramped on the adventure of a lifetime.

Your Trip

You will be picked up from Padang international airport and taken to the boat located in Bungus harbour, about a 90 minute drive.

Once aboad the Indies Explorer put your wallet away. There are no hidden costs or taxes. The boat is owned and operated by Australian surfers along with experienced Indonesian crew and captain ( Eddie ). Eddie is also a very experienced surf guide along with O’neill our chef and they know just what you want in a surf trip.

We depart the Sumatran mainland in the evening and travel through the night. The next morning when you wake, you will find yourself in the beautiful Mentawai next to a world class surf break. From here we spend the next 10 days surfing our way through the islands of the Mentawai.

Our gourmet chef ( O’neill ) will make sure you are never hungry during your voyage, serving up a variety of Indonesian and western dishes. Snacks, fruit, soft drinks, tea/coffee and water are all provided. Each person is also given a case of Bintang on board (extra Bintang will be available to buy on board).

During your time aboard feel free to watch movies, play the playstation3, listen to music, use the fishing equipment, play on the board games, or just relax and take in the scenery.

On the final night of your trip we travel back to Samatran mainland, arriving in Padang the next morning. From there you will be driven back to Padang airport in the time for departing flights.
